Our setup journal in the open: 761 closed setups and what the numbers really say
We track every setup Nexus generates in a public-facing journal. Between 15 May and 24 October 2026, 761 setups closed by reaching either a target or a stop. Here are the numbers as they are, including the months we do not like.
The headline
Of 761 closed setups, 422 reached at least their first target and 339 hit their stop loss. That is a 55.5% hit rate. We tracked these setups in our journal. They are not audited results and they are not the results of any individual user.
It changes month to month
- May: 14 closed, 57.1% reached a target (very small sample).
- June: 331 closed, 65.6%.
- July: 189 closed, 45.5%.
- August: 95 closed, 47.4%.
- September: only 8 closed, so we draw no conclusion from it.
- October so far: 124 closed, 52.4%.
A strategy that looks strong in one month and weak in the next is normal. It is the reason we do not quote a single number as proof of anything.
What these numbers leave out
- Setups that expired before price reached the entry are not wins or losses. There were 1,088 of them.
- 71 of those expired setups did reach their entry, but our tracker did not record how they ended, so they are not in the 55.5%. We are telling you so you can judge the figure properly.
- We no longer headline total pips. A pip on gold is not comparable with a pip on EUR/USD, so adding them together misleads.
Why we publish this
Most trading products show only winners. We would rather show the full journal, because the honest version is more useful to you and harder to fake. If a platform will not show you its losing months, ask why.
How to use this
Do not read 55.5% as a promise. Read it as a record of how one rules-based system behaved across different markets. Your own results depend on your size, your discipline and your costs. Start with the risk-reward calculator to see what hit rate you need for a given setup.
Trading carries a high risk of loss. This article is for education only and is not financial advice. Results shown are from setups tracked in our own journal, they are not audited, and past results do not guarantee future results.
